Elzar and Dino – along with their adorable puppy Boba – live in Toronto but decided to cross the ocean to get their destination wedding in the charming Compiano Castle, just a few kilometers from Bedonia, the hometown of Dino’s family.
They organized a sparkling and fun-filled wedding, dedicated to celebrating their entire family, spread across the globe between Canada and the Philippines (where Elzar’s family is from).
I immediately clicked with Elzar, who involved me from the very first phone calls, asking for advice on the songs that would become the soundtrack of their special day (goddess of all goddesses: Ornella Vanoni). Even though I don’t usually have my couples pose too much, it was impossible not to with these two amazing models and the incredible private rooms of Countess Lina Raimondi Gambarotta at our disposal!
One particularly moving detail was the thoughtful favor the couple created for each guest: a keychain with their portrait accompanied by a personalized note, which each guest found as a place card.
When I approached to capture the reactions of the guests reading their notes, I noticed that everyone had teary eyes. Out of curiosity, I peeked at the note a young man next to me was reading... and I ended up getting emotional too. Each note was filled with love, affection and gratitude, words we deeply need in these times.
