Luisa is from Brescia, but some years ago she moved to Amsterdam, following her love Giovanni. From the very first lines of her first email, I fell in love in their history. Without thinking, I took a flight to the Netherlands and went to meet them in person. They had driven me around by bike for half the town, I knew their places, they told me word for word the organization of their marriage, and when we said goodbye it was like as if we’d known each other forever.
When the big day of this italian destination wedding arrived, I was so excited and very nervous. Also, I was afraid that be so involved, could compromised my vision as a witness.
Today, reviewing this story, I know that is not so. I know that what you'll see here, is what they were that day. The most faithful memory that I could give them. This is reason why I do this wonderful work: to tell these stories, in this way, with the heart so open.
