B&J: SARDINIA SAMESEX DESTINATION WEDDING
Every time I have to come back to Sardinia to shot a wedding (but also just for pleasure), my soul fills with joy, my eyes prepare to be dazzled by beauty and my stomach works to welcome the best gastronomic wonders from unpronounceable names for a polentona like me (aka those who live in northern Italy and feed on polenta).
This happened also last summer when Vittoria from Wedding in Sardinia asked me if I was available to take a wedding together with Francesca Floris (Francesca is not only a great friend, but she is also the person who - with INFINITE patience - taught me this job ), but not as an assistant. We both should have photographed the wedding as main photographer. A complicated task even for two like us, that have worked very often in close contact. Instead, everything went smoothly. We never got stuck, we always tried to take our point of view without taking anything away from the other's point of view. But the most important thing is that our boys were enthusiastic about the result, and this was the only important thing for Francesca and me.
"They are like two butterflies dancing together". It was what I thought when I saw Bryan and Jacopo dressing each other before their ceremony, delicate and symmetrical gestures, a button that closes, a pin attached to the jacket.
On their promises, we couldn't hold back the tears either.
I remember thinking they had been really lucky to have found each other, and we were so lucky to be with them to witness such an important moment.
